Fredericksburg resident Daniel Castillo, 34, a fugitive already wanted in Prince William County was arrested on Sunday night after assaulting a patient and going on a tirade.

The incident was reported shortly before 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the hospital on Hospital Center Boulevard, where there were reports of multiple disturbances involving Castillo.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, a responding deputy made contact with everyone involved, and security was assigned to keep an eye on Castillo, which only added fuel to his fire.

Investigators say that the the disturbances escalated to the point that Castillo was allegedly making threats toward the security officer, assaulted him, and shouted racial statements.

Once in custody, it was also determined that Castillo was wanted for failure to appear in Prince William County.

Castillo was served on the outstanding warrant and is now charged with assault related to a hate crime and disorderly conduct at a hospital.

He's being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
